I'm putting this here if someone else has the same problem.Dead Money crashed on me right after you get hit with the gas and fall down. Tried various solutions but only after removing all weapons and armor manually from my inventory did it work for me.So apparently the DLC tries to remove all of your gear at the start, and the game will crash if you have some quest related weapons or armor. I didn't, but I'm assuming that the nevada weapons/armours are messing with the game, so putting them in the equipment locker will hopefully fix your problem, it did for me.
